Sometimes you just have to go to a lake and take photo’s … so we did. I put on a hat, she put on a dress and we walked, talked, swung, danced and were quite possibly judged by the people who saw us.

Dear Mr 2013 – why are you rushing me?

Does anyone know where January went??

It seems that Mr (not being sexist over here, but for time sake 2013 is now a man) 2013 is in a bit of hurry to get through the year. I don’t know why Mr 2013, you only get to do this once, then its 2014 turn and you will be out of a job. You should be taking your sweet little time, but no lets make January fly by.

Thanks a lot Mr 2013.

I guess one might say (keep your mouth closed Mr 2013) that I’m a little mad at 2013 right about now. Its not that its a bad year or even a bad number. I like the number 13 as much as the next person. It’s just that the speed of January leaving me has left me some what shocked. I had things I was going to do in January.

Make Holiday Plans. Finish reading The Passage. Buy a watch. Put my shelf up. Visit Ikea. Have more clothes. Find a home for Percy my Flamingo (yes I have a pink Flamingo and his name is Percy) Climb a mountain. Have the perfect hair. Create art. Buy or at least choose my new car.

Did I get the chance to do any of these things during the month that we once called January? NO!!

Now instead of being immature about this and ranting about how much I hate Mr 2013 and all (Ok so I may have ranted just a little bit) I have decided to … try… and make this into a life lesson.

Please note that this is coming from a girl who thinks there is great value in waiting for things: I think that waiting for something can make it more special or even more exciting.

I’am currently waiting on an ASOS and an Amazon order to arrive at my house, I get very excited each time I pull into my driveway.

“will it be there?”

“I hope they fit”

“this had better be a good book”

They all run through my head and it makes life fun. I think waiting for that kind of stuff is good, but I don’t think we should wait for everything.

If you know you want something (and have the skill and/or money to do it) then you should do it. Don’t Wait.  If you want to tell this guy your in love with him, then just do it. Don’t wait … cause he could get hit by a bus the next day, or worse he could ask someone else out. If you want to learn how to kick a football, then buy a football and learn how to kick it. Don’t Wait.

Cause one day you may wake up with a list of things you wanted to do but you never did and speaking as a professional of making list and not completing them … its not a fun feeling.

Dear Mr 2013, I want to say sorry for the little rant I had about you at the start of this blog. I was in an emotional place, but don’t worry I’m better now. I know its not your fault that I kept putting off all the things I wanted to do in January. I will try and do them in February.

I hope you enjoy this year of being 2013 and I think your going to do an amazing job. Love you Mr 2013, your are radical.

As always it’s been wonderful. I’ll laugh about our times together forever.

What makes you beautiful?

Gotta love One Direction right??

O yeah….its about to get deep in here ladies and gents.

(probs not, but I thought I would set the meaningful mood)

I have recently (tonight) been thinking about what  makes someone beautiful to me.

Is it their laugh, their dance moves, or maybe what they say.

I love finding beauty in people.

For example my sister.

I LOVE this girl soooooo much it hurts sometimes. She is such a role model to me and I can’t imagine not having her in my life. She is so beautiful in so many ways.

Her lips, her hair, her voice, her crazy dance moves, her love for God, the way she writes, the hugs she gives, her eyes, her ridiculous laughs, they way she looks when she is thinking, how she lets me borrow her clothes, the friendships she treasures, her ability to remember song lyrics, her extensive vocabulary, her fashion sense, her speed cleaning of her room, her love for books, her sense of humour, her passion for good coffee, the love she has for her family, how she loves my friends and how she always makes time for me.

Those are only some of the things that make my sister beautiful.

I love you Bunny.

As always it’s been wonderful. I’ll laugh about our times together forever.

Macey and Lilly Willis

So I have just realised that I have never written anything about my beautiful puppies. Well that is just wrong because they are the joy of my life.

I will forever be thankful for my dear friend Cassie who sent me a message saying that they had samoyed puppies at the chermside pet store. So what did I do, I went down there and bought one.

We called her Macey.

The next day however we found out that this little baby had a heart murmur and we has to take her back so she could be looked after by the owners of the pet store until she was better.

So we then got another little girl..Lilly.

After a few weeks we got a call saying that Macey was all better…so

WE GOT BOTH!!!!

My little girls are possible the cutest, naughties and …..well just the very best.

My precious fluff balls.

As always it’s been wonderful. I’ll laugh about our times together forever.

THE BEST DAY EVER :)

On the 21st Of June 2012 I had what I like to call “THE BEST DAY EVER”.

This day was filled with food, handbags, great friends, parks an movies. A day were nothing was boring, nothing was sad and everything was just the Best.

This day was possible because of two beautiful ladies named Paige and Cassie.

It started with a beautiful brunch at a magical french place (the name of this place has escaped me) I had a blueberry macaroon with a strawberry milkshake, The milkshake was pure fluff. If you can imagine fluff, and what fluff would taste like then this would be it. Strawberry fluff.

After this magical brunch we all decided to head to retail heaven, know as Chermside. We walked into Forever New and found a green scarf, and this scarf was the green scarf from Confessions of a Shopaholic. Needless to say I bought this scarf and it was only $10.00!!!

A few shops later, a few dollars poorer and we decided that it was time to have some coca cola. A trip to Mac Donalds and a small coke and a 30 cent ice cream was the ticket to make us very very happy.

Cassie, Paige and I then travelled back to Paige’s house and took some…well lots of photos outside of her house. Lots of laughter happened outside that house.

Miss Paige then decided to make Cassie and I some amazing lunch, while she cooked we looked things up on Youtube.

Then an idea came to our heads….”lets go for a walk and find a park” let me say right here right now, that was the best idea that has and will ever entered ours brains.

We took a delightful stroll to this park…taking a few pictures along the way.

Then we arrived. The park. It was glorious!! Filled with beauty and magic. There are no words that can describe how much fun we had at this park.

So I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

Awww that park and that wonderful spinning device that brought joy into our lives. we have already made plans to go back.

At this point in the day Cassie and I had to say goodbye to Paige. It was difficult but we then headed to Stafford to meet up with Tylah to Snow White and the Huntsman or SWATH as the lazy people call it.

While Cas and I were waiting for Ty to arrive we entertained ourselves by having a duel.

I then forced Cassie to purchase some flowers for me.

Then it was time. SWATH was upon us, and we were excited to see our future husbands on the big screen.

Sam Claflin for Georgia

And Chris Hemsworth for Cassie.

The Movie was great, I might even write my next blog about it……mmmmm!!

The movie finished but I was in no mood to go home….so Tylah, Cassie and I went back to cassie’s and watch Hercules. While the movie was playing Tylah (the master braider) gave me Snow White Warrior hair.

Talented right?

Then the day had to end. I was not at all sad about the day ending, cause I knew I would have photo’s, flowers, blisters and so many great memories to remind me of this day. The Best Day Ever.

Big Thanks to Paige, Cassie and Tylah who made this day the day that it was.

As always it’s been wonderful. I’ll laugh about our times together forever.

Movie review – Prometheus

SPOILER ALERT. Please note that the below review does give away some of the film.

Prometheus is a science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott and written by Jon Spaihts and Damon Lindelof.

“A team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.” Big thanks to IMDb for providing the above.

I never considered myself to be the alien film kinda girl, but man o man after watching prometheus I just might have a thing for aliens and guts and gore.

For those of you that can’t handle a little/ SO MUCH gore I recommend sitting this film out (or waiting till it comes out on dvd so you can watch it in the safety of your home) This film had a lot of “eeww” moments. From an eel looking alien going down someones throat, to a caesarean (removing an alien not a cute baby) that shows all…and I mean all.

Despite all that “eeww” I very much enjoyed this film.

The Highlight actor for me is the lead Elezabeth Shaw played by Noomi Rapace. A difficult role to play, considering she is screaming out in pain for most of film, Rapace did a brilliant job.

Another favourite was one of my favourite actress Charlize Theron who plays Meredith Vickers.

Yes, the film is all about that ladies for me, considering everyone ends up dying (oops did I give away too much?, aw ok, so maybe someone survives….maybe)

I would recommend this film, but I strongly caution those who can’t handle some blood and vomit worthy moments to stay away, or bring a pillow.

I will give Prometheus  4 stars out of 5.

Go and see it you kids.

As always it’s been wonderful. I’ll laugh about our times together forever.
